Scald 1/2 cup milk
Add:
1/4 cup shortening
2 Tbsp sugar
2 tsp salt
1/2 cup water
Cool and add 1 egg and 1 Tbsp yeast. Beat until dissolved. Add 2 cups flour and beat well. Stir in 1 cup sifted flour. Dough should be soft but not stiff.
Knead well and shape into rolls. Bake in a hot oven 425 degrees for 10-15 minutes.
**Again, if it's bread and it came from my mom, it has to be good!
