Cream together:
1 cup milk
1 Tsp butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Sift together:
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp allspice
1/4 tsp cloves
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
Add to creamed mixture, then add:
1 cup raisins
1 cup nuts (optional, of coarse)
Cover with this sauce:
1 cup brown sugar
2 Tbsp butter
2 cups water
Boil sauce, pour over creamed mixture in a large cake pan. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
**Another recipe I haven't made for almost 13 years... my husband LOVES raisins, and he loved this recipe. I think it's time to make it again!
