2 lbs ground beef
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups bread crumbs
3/4 cup ketchup
1 tsp accent (what is this for anyway? I've never added it)
1/2 cup warm water
1 pkg onion soup mix
Mix ingredients thoroughly. Place in loaf pan. Cover with three strips of bacon and pour over 1 can of tomato sauce (or more ketchup if you are me). Bake for one hour at 350 degrees.
** Years ago when I made this for dinner one time, my kids said "ewww... what is it?" I said it was Roasted Hector. My inlaws have this horrible nasty mean cat named Hector that my kids are deathly afraid of... they couldn't wait to see what Hector tasted like, and it turns out he was pretty darn tasty! LOL Oh, the things we do to get our kids to eat dinner!
